Blockbuster Suicide – talk about a Kamikaze business model

Last week Kingston announced it was going to start bundling movies with sales of Flash memory products, this week Blockbuster has announced you can start renting movies on SD cards.
Now correct me if I’m wrong but out of the following two scenarios what looks good?
This is what a sane human (Blockbuster management not included) would prefer:

Looks simple to me...
And this is what Blockbuster is offering:

Which dumba$$ would prefer this...?
I can’t really say why, even after having shut down more than 900 outlets in the US, blockbuster is headed towards committing business suicide. Guys if you need to know how to make money out of your own business, send me an email.

Netflix has already partnered with a hardware provider to stream movies into a set-top box. Blockbuster is lagging behind in this field that threatens to take away considerable market share.
Blockbuster should look towards partnering with XBox, Playstation, and or Apple TV to allow streaming through a revenue sharing mechanism. It just may be a win-win situation for both. Vibhav Agarwal(Quote)
