I officially hate Windows 7. Hate it
Short reason: It lost 500GB of my data. In a flash. Just like that.
Long Story:
I had 500GB of data on a 2TB brand new external MyWorld HDD. The HDD was formatted in NTFS. To enable my PS3 to read it I had to convert it to FAT32.
It is a known fact that you can’t go from NTFS to FAT32 without loss of data. However, there is a company who make great software to do it. And so I bought Aomei NTFS to FAT32 Converter.
Everything was fine. I installed the converter and revved it up and it sprung into action smoothly. Since the HDD was holding 500GB of data I figured it would take about 5 hours to do it, and so I went to sleep. When I wake up I see that my laptop has shut down and restarted. I didn’t remember executing any such command/schedule.
So what do I see? I see that Windows 7 has TAKEN THE LIBERTY TO RESTART MY LAPTOP IN THE MIDDLE OF DISK FORMATTING, TO INSTALL SOME STUPID UPDATES.
Result: External HDD unreadable and corrupt. I tried for 3 hours to recover the lost data. No luck.
I officially hate MSFT. F*****G RETARDS.

Yammer, I feel for you. Dude, get a Mac.
Thanks man. Yep, will have to consider now :-|
