A letter comes in your door from a mother telling you her son has been breaking into houses- and he’s broken into yours. The letter isn’t signed. What secrets has this boy unearthed? Everyone has something to hide and when a body is found tensions in this neighbourhood reach breaking point.
I love Shari Lapena. I’ve read all of her books and I think they just keep getting better. This book was written excellently. I had to knock off half a star because I didn’t guess the mystery a fraction of the way through reading it. But the story still kept my gripped. Each character had a connection that you mightn’t have originally thought. All stories were connected. The only thing I will say is that I found there was a bit too many theories thrown around by the detectives, but that’s just a small thing I found. Overall, I loved the storyline and the conclusion and the characters were interesting and well rounded.
