Beth shows that women can have it all. Ruby lives life by her own rules. Lauren is living the dream. Are their lives as perfect as they look? Beth hasn’t had sex in a year. Ruby feels like she’s failing. Lauren’s happiness is fake news. All it takes is one shocking event for the truth to come out.
I absolutely loved this book. The characters in it were so complex and interesting, and it was the perfect illustration of the fact that nobody’s life is as it seems. I loved the minor characters like Risky, and I felt that the whole story just came together so seamlessly. To be honest, I found Beth’s story difficult to read at times. From the beginning I found her husband to be very cruel, and I was sad when reading how he made her feel. Ruby for me had such an interesting story. She grew so much throughout the book, and I loved watching her slowly grow in confidence as mother, and a person in general. I would have liked to see more of Lauren’s story. I felt we never really got to know her properly, as her story was only told through the point of view of her instagram story. I would have liked to see more of her home life and her life with Gavin. Other than that, I can’t really find fault with it. It’s so easy to read, the story is excellent and the themes are very important. Would a million percent recommend. @hotpatooties
