Book Review: HOW TO HANG A WITCH, by @adriana_mather
Genre: Young Adult / Paranormal
After moving to Salem, Massachusetts, teen Samantha discovers she’s the descendant of Cotton Mather, one of the men responsible for prosecuting witches in the famous 1692 trials. Unfortunately, the witches’ descendants attend her new high school and hate her at first glance. Will they be able to work together to break the deadly cycle plaguing their families? And, will she find love along the way?
“It is the greatest evil of all, to separate people who love each other.”
This was the perfect Halloween escape for me. It was light, entertaining, and even a bit sweet and romantic. Even though there were ghosts and witches aplenty, it was not at all scary or creepy. Even though I guessed early on who the evil witch was, it didn’t stop me from enjoying this ghost/witch story and its dramatic conclusion! Lastly, I look forward to the sequel, Haunting the Deep.
“There is no real power gained by harming others.”
