Book Review: THE SECRET INGREDIENT OF WISHES by @sbcrispell

Genre: Magical Realism

Born with the ability to make wishes come true, Rachel is terrified after accidentally wishing her younger, 4 year old brother, Michael, would disappear. Even though this terrible mistake occurred when she was a 10 year old child, it altered her life in innumerable ways. Afraid of hurting her loved ones, she flees Memphis, Tennessee and ends up in Nowhere, North Carolina. There, she meets Catch, a woman who makes secrets disappear by baking them into pies! Will Rachel finally find her own slice of happiness in this town that seems to embrace magic?

Just like the other book by this author, Dreaming in Chocolate, I found this story to be a fun, light, romantic, and magical escape from reality.

Location: Memphis, Tennessee and Nowhere, North Carolina
