Cara is caught up in a scary terror attack one night in London. Her life is saved by a stranger and they hide together while the attack takes place. Cara shares secrets she has never told anyone with her unlikely rescuer, Amy. When it is over, Cara attempts to put it all behind her. But when she needs help, Amy reappears. Cracks begin to show in Cara’s marriage and work life. Amy is the one she feels she can turn to, her closest friend it could be said. But what if the biggest danger to Cara is this stranger she has invited into her home?
This is probably my favourite Karen Perry book that I’ve read. I read the first 150 pages a little bit slower than normal, because I felt it took a little bit for the story to build up. Once I got into part 2 of the book, I flew through it. I read from page 140 to 400 last night! Finished it completely in that sitting and stayed up until 3am to do so. I liked the way the characters were built up, and how we could slowly see Amy latching onto Cara and her family. I would definitely pick this one up if you like thrillers!
