Chloe had a dream wedding with her dream man- Dan. They haven’t known each other long but she knows he’s perfect for her and they’ll be together forever. As they relax on honeymoon Dan jokes they should stay here forever. But as the holiday goes on he becomes increasingly adamant that they shouldn’t leave. In fact, he won’t let her leave…..
This book wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. I was expecting something more along the lines of Behind Closed Doors (BA Paris). I did still quite enjoy the storyline but I found it a bit frustrating. I wasn’t a fan of the fact that even though even when Chloe was sharing her fears about Dan, she wasn’t taken seriously. Maybe this is realistic but I was just shocked when even her family weren’t overly concerned. For me, the ending redeemed a lot of the book. It was a little bit repetitive in the middle, and it was getting frustrating that it was going a bit back and forth, in my opinion. Still, it was a decent book with a solid enough storyline with an ending that made up for a lot of the disappointment in the book.
