Estranged for a decade, sisters Leslie and Robin must reunite if they are to claim the fortune their father left them. Leslie desperately needs that money, but when she arrives at her sister’s apartment, she finds her body instead. Leslie needs another plan. Without Robin, she won’t see a penny. Mary, an aspiring actress, spends her nights slinging beers at a seedy restaurant. She’d do anything to start her life over. When Leslie offers her a huge sum of money and the chance to be someone else – to be Robin – she takes it. But Robin’s life isn’t as straightforward as Mary thought it would be. And Leslie seems to have secrets and a past of her own . . .
This book was really good. The story and the build up were very intriguing and I got into it very quickly. The story is told through alternating points of view- Leslie’s, Mary’s and Robin’s. Mary is probably the character who we see the most of and whose point of view we get the most. My only criticism would be that we didn’t get much insight into Leslie’s life throughout the book and even in the conclusion of the story we don’t see much of her feelings. We’re just kind of told how she feels and that’s it. I would have liked to have seen some more chapters on her life and her marriage. The ending was good and the book came to a good conclusion. Nobody’s fate was really left untold which was great. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book!
