⭐️⭐️ Rachel hasn’t had the most straight forward life. Her mother refused to tell her the name of her father and following her mother’s death she begins to search for him. The events following this lead Rachel to become afraid of leaving the house and she becomes agoraphobic. The one thing she can rely on is her marriage- or can she? Rachel begins to suspect her husband is lying. Has anything about him been true? Or is Rachel simply paranoid? Does she really know her husband?
I picked this book off the shelf as the blurb sounded the most interesting of the books I had to read. Within the first few pages I could tell I wasn’t going to be a fan but I stuck with it. I was halfway through the book and still didn’t even know what the storyline was. I was hoping there would be a big twist in the second half but when the “twist” came it was disappointing and predictable. The whole twist became a little bit confusing and I ended up having to read some parts again to figure out what they actually meant. It ended abruptly which is my pet hate in a book. Overall I did not enjoy this book and would not recommend it ☹️
