Something terrible has happened in the snowbound village of Kingdom Come, Wyoming. Twelve eerily identical houses stand dark and abandoned. Cars still in garages. The human occupants have vanished, seemingly into thin air. This is the place Maura Isles finds herself trapped in during a snowstorm.
I quite enjoyed this book. It had a good mystery to it and the story flowed well. It is part of a series but I didn’t even realise this until I finished it and it’s the 8th in the series, so I don’t think you have to have read the others to follow it. My only real issue with it was I felt the blurb gave too much away. A lot of the details on the blurb didn’t actually happen until a good bit into the book. I think some of the detail could have been left out because the shock element was mostly gone. I would, however, still recommend it as it had a good storyline and good characters!
