I decided after reading The House Guest to read another Mark Edwards book, just because I wanted to see if I liked his writing or if all of his books weren’t my cup of tea. I found The House Guest a bit far-fetched so I was curious to read this. I honestly really enjoyed it. I found it so easy to read and I read about 75% of it the day I started it. The whole story was so gripping and was full of suspense. Practically every chapter had something exciting happen which I loved. The book didn’t lag or become boring at any stage. I had come up with my own theory about what was going on- I based it on a few things that Andrew said. I was right about who was involved but my thinking behind it was off. If I’m being honest, I think that something could have been made of the stuff I noticed but obviously the author didn’t intend on them being taken in the way I took them. I don’t want to give any spoilers so I won’t say exactly what I was thinking. I really did enjoy this one and I would definitely recommend it.
