When Emily meets Adam she thinks he’s the perfect man for her. They begin a relationship and she’s the happiest she’s been for a long time. Then, she meets his mother, Pammie. Pammie is manipulative and her son refuses to accept that his mother is ever in the wrong. Emily is at her wits end and Pammie seems to be getting worse. How far will she go to achieve her end goal- getting rid of Emily?
This book was great. I love thrillers with psychological stories and this certainly had that. Pammie knew how to wind Emily up without her son ever becoming suspicious of her, it was so perfectly executed! Literally everything she did was so well planned and she had her explanations so well thought out that her son never suspected a thing. The ending was amazing. Such a good twist, with little clues being left along the way as to what was going on. The clues did allow me to somewhat guess what the reasons behind Pammie’s actions were, but even still there was some things which I hadn’t fully copped onto. I was a little bit confused about one or two things at the end, which I will not state here as I don’t want to give spoilers. If you have read it, however, message me so I can pick your brain about them 😂 I am on a slight reading role the past couple of days and I’m flying through my books. Hopefully it continues and I get my reading off to a good start for 2020!
